What is ULU?

ULU, the University of London Union is the student representative body for the University of London's 120,000 odd students. The University itself comprises around 20 Colleges and the Central Institutes. Note that even big Institutions like UCL or Kings College are actually Colleges and belong to the University of London. Despite this, some of the larger Colleges have their own Unions, clubs and societies, which makes the situation a bit confusing at first.

We, ULU Volleyball, are the Volleyball club of the UL Union. All students at one of the University's Colleges or Institutes reading or researching for a University of London qualification (i.e. an Internal Student) are automatically members of ULU. Thus, if you have a valid student card for any of the UL Colleges or Institutes you are eligible to join one of our competitive teams or participate in the recreational session.

ULU is a democratic body, run by students who are elected by students. There is also staff support helping the student representatives implement decisions and policy. ULU is governed by Union Council, and day to day decisions are made by the Executive Officers and senior Committees of the Union Council.
